Celebrating Our Local Luminaries Gala Winners in Fitchburg

We have the most exciting news to share with all of you! We've been buzzing with joy here at the spa, and it's all about celebrating the people who make our community so special.

Wolf Lodge New England in Fitchburg. People dressed up in their absolute best Hollywood red carpet styles to celebrate local leaders and business owners. The community support was so huge that a whopping 10,000 votes were cast, supporting our local businesses!

Celebrating Our Flutter Yen Stars

Of course, our hearts were bursting with pride for our own team! Two of our wonderful ladies were finalists at the gala:

Kattiah Maillet: Rising Luminary Award
Alexandria Davis: The Smooth Operator Wax Esthetician Award!
Tuyen Nguyen: Our incredible founder was presented with a special congressional citation from U.S. Representative Jim McGovern! The honor was hand-delivered by his regional manager, Romero, right at the gala. It was a beautiful full-circle moment, especially since Tuyen created the entire Local Luminaries Gala to lift up and recognize her fellow local business leaders and entrepreneurs.

The Woman Behind the Magic: Tuyen Nguyen

This beautiful gala was created by our very own founder, Tuyen Nguyen. Tuyen's personal story is so inspiring. She was born in Vietnam and spent time in a refugee camp when she was a little girl before moving to the United States with her family. She learned early on how important it is to work hard and never give up.

Did you know Tuyen has such a deep, wonderful history in the beauty world? Before opening our current spa, she actually established Crystal Nails & Spa right in the heart of downtown Maynard! It was a cozy, classic storefront at 39 Main Street (and later 75 Main Street) that focused heavily on building a tight-knit family of returning clients.

During her time running it, the salon carved out a beautiful reputation as a no-frills neighborhood spot for solid, reliable, and affordable manicures, pedicures, acrylics, and waxing. Locals could always count on seeing familiar faces!

Eventually, Tuyen was ready for her next big adventure. She transitioned Crystal Nails to new management and moved her focus to create the much larger, modern "BYOB beauty bar" concept with LUXE Nails & Beauty Bar over in Fitchburg!

Later on, Tuyen even worked in the corporate world and became a human resources director. But her heart always called her back to her true purpose! All her incredible passion and hard work led to her building Flutter Yen Aesthetics, right here at 217 State Rd. in Westminster. Her amazing dedication to the community even earned her a special citation from U.S. Representative Jim McGovern.

Stepping Into the Spotlight: Nguyen Impact

Tuyen’s magic doesn't stop at the spa doors! She's also the proud founder of Nguyen Impact, a wonderful leadership and speaking platform. Through Nguyen Impact, Tuyen is stepping onto the stage to share her story and help others.
